Can you believe that someone named a flower to symbolize the friendship between Joanna and Amanda?Since we hadn't had enough "Amanda time," she decided to grace our presence once more by joining us for an evening in the city. We met at Ghirardelli Square for scrumptious ice cream sundaes and shakes. Inside the shop, they show you the entire chocolate making process, which is very interesting. I didn't think I was going to be able to pry Amanda and Joanna away from the store since they were deeply mesmerized by the chocolaty aroma. But, I did manage to "move them along."
San Francisco...the city that never sleeps, you say? Sorry, you're thinking of New York City. San Fran is the city that goes to sleep early. We ventured to the Ferry Building to browse the shops and restaurants, but sadly we had to become "window shoppers" instead. It was only 7:30 p.m. and almost all stores were closed.
Amanda called her friend, Mark, to join us for the rest of the evening. Mark decided that it would be a great idea to test my "fear of heights." And in the end, it was a terrific experience...driving over the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset into the quaint town of Sausalito. What a view!!
But, just like San Francisco, Sausalito enjoys their early nightcap as well. We walked through the town and decided that it would be fun to end our evening by seeing San Fran's Exploratorium at night. Amazing...it reminded Joanna of Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. We had a blast and are looking forward to our day at AT&T Park watching the Giants vs. the Braves.
